We met soon after relocating to New York City. Allie coming from Texas, and Lelia from Arkansas. Luckily, being from the South wasn't the only thing we had in common! We soon discovered our shared love of fashion and design, as well as late afternoon snacks of 20 oz. Cokes and Hershey's bars. As we continued to find similarities, the idea of starting our own fashion line developed from a fleeting thought into an idea, then into a plan, and finally into reality. And, here we are! We are now, Juxtapose.
Our line embodies the meaning of the term juxtapose. Its a little bit feminine, a little bit menswear, somewhat eccentric and very wearable. Its a direct representation of the two of us, our different tastes, and our different design styles. We find our inspiration from the fashions throughout the 20th century, often focusing on one decade for each season. This tends to show through our color palette as well as in the silhouettes of our designs. We hope you love it as much as we do!
